With this escorted trip, you will get to know the best of Georgia with a professional team. What truly sets this tour apart from others is that it covers most of Georgia’s must see sights, within a short period of time. You will visit both east and west Georgia and the most stunning sights.

Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive in Tbilisi

We will meet you in the airport, any time of the day or night and transfer you to your hotel, after which you will have free time to relax until the next day, when the tour will begin.

Day 2Wine Tour in Kakheti

On this trip, we will start getting to know Georgia by embracing the center of its culture – wine and hospitality. To start the day we will visit a “Tone” Bakery to see how the Georgian bread is made and we will get to taste it right out of the oven. Next we will move to Signagi – the city of love and get to know how and why this city fortress was constructed. After Signagi, we will visit the Khareba Wine Tunnel, constructed for military purposes, now it’s a home for premium Georgian wines. After tasting some of Georgia’s finest wines, we will enjoy an authentic lunch. Next, we will move to the Kindzmarauli Winery, where we will see the wine production process. Finally, we will head back to Tbilisi, on the way making a short stop at the Gombori Overpass, to enjoy stunning views of nature.

Day 3Kazbegi

Our morning drive takes us from Tbilisi to Zhinvali, where we will visit the Zhinvali Lake – the main water supply of Tbilisi built in 1980s. Afterward, we will continue to the 16th century Ananuri Fortress, former home of the local dukes. Next we will move to Gudauri, where we will stop at the famous Friendship Panorama Monument with breathtaking views over the Caucasus Mountains and beautiful mosaic decorations of folk legends and tales. After Gudauri, we will head to Stepantsminda, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch as well as a short cooking masterclass before heading up to the Gergeti Trinity Church. We will return to Tbilisi in the evening.

Day 4Get to know Tbilisi + Traditional Dinner

We will start this day by strolling through the tiny pretty streets of the Tbilisi Old Town, We will get to know all of the important sights within the old town, including: Metekhi, Rike Park, Erekle II Street, Tamada Statue, Meidan Square, Abanotubani (Bath district), Narikala Fortress, Gallery 27 and more. After the old town, we will enjoy a tasty lunch and continue with a car to visit the second biggest Orthodox Church in the world – The Sameba Cathedral with its hidden underground church. Next, we will leave the city center and visit the “Tbilisi Sea” and the bizarre Chronicles of Georgia statue. In the late afternoon, we will return to your hotel and you will have some free time.

In the evening, we will have a traditional dinner with Georgian music and dances, so don’t forget your dancing shoes 🙂

Day 5Tbilisi - Kutaisi

We’ll depart from Tbilisi towards Kutaisi, doing sightseeing on the way. First stop of the day will be the former capital of Georgia, Mtskheta – a city with thousands of years of history. We will walk through the streets and hear about all the important stories that have happened hear, including the story of the Robe of Christ – which Georgians believe to be buried here. We will visit and fully explore the 11th century Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, as well as the beautiful Jvari MOnastery from 6th Century – overlooking the former capital and the juncture of Rivers Mtkvari & Aragvi. Afterwards, we’ll move to Gori, the birthplace of Ioseb Jugashvili, more commonly known as Stalin – we will have a tasty lunch here and visit the controversial Stalin Museum. Next, we will explore the Cave City of Uplistsikhe, dated back to 4th century BC. Finally. we’ll enjoy an evening ride to Kutaisi, where we’ll stay overnight.

Day 6Kutaisi - Batumi

We will start the morning by visiting the Bagrati Cathedral in Kutaisi, offering a birds-eye-view of this beautiful city. Next, we will continue to the Prometheus Caves, where we will go underground to take a look at natural wonders accompanied by beautiful lighting and classical music, after which we will ride a boat through an underground river. Next, we will enjoy a tasty lunch, before heading to the Martvili Canyon – a former royal natural reserve, here we will look at amazing waterfalls and ride boats through the canyon. Finally, we will head to Batumi, where we will be staying overnight.

Day 7Batumi - Tbilisi

We will start this beautiful morning in Batumi by a walking tour around the city center, we will explore the history of the city as well as the beautiful sights, after which we will enjoy a tasty lunch with Adjarian Khachapuri – famous food from this region. Once we’re done with the lunch, we will drive to the Batumi Botanical Garden, where we will enjoy 3 hours of free time, taking advantage of the serenity of nature and the stunning photo opportunities. Finally, we will return to Batumi and you will have free time until the evening, when we will head back to Tbilisi.

Please note: You will have a choice to return to Tbilisi via car or train, this choice won’t affect the price of the tour.

In case of the train ride, we will take you to the Batumi train station and meet you on the Tbilisi Train station, to transfer you to your hotel.

Guaranteed Tour to Georgia 2020 is an opportunity for you to experience the best of Georgia in 7 days with an international group of travelers from all over the world. Tours are guaranteed to depart, even if there is only one traveler – so you can book with confidence.

This is a small group tour with maximum 15 travelers in one group, so tours usually sell out couple months prior to the departure. It’s recommended to book the tours in advance to guarantee availability.
