Tour Overview

Our guide will meet you at your hotel in Gudauri and lead you to your car to begin the Tbilisi & Mtskheta tour from Gudauri.

On this day trip we’ll see the two capitals of Georgia – Tbilisi and Mtskheta. We’re going to start the day by visiting  the former capital of Georgia – Mtskheta, town that has existed here for thousands of years! We will visit the well-known Svetitskhoveli cathedral, an astonishing piece of medieval architecture. By many people, it is believed that the robe of the Christ is buried here. This church is a big attraction for both local and international travelers, thus the surrounding areas are full of souvenir stands where you can enjoy shopping.

Next we’ll be stopping at the 6th century Jvari Monastery, where we will hear about the amazing history of this church. Also, we will enjoy an amazing birds-eye view of Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers from the top of the hill.

After the stop at Jvari Monastery, we’ll go to a  well-known  Georgian restaurant to enjoy the wonders of authentic Georgian food.

Next we’ll head to Tbilisi – the capital of Georgia where we’ll enjoy a walking tour visiting the main attractions in the Tbilisi Old Town including: Rike park, Peace bridge, Metekhi cathedral, Erekle II street, Abanotubani, Narikala and more.

Finally, our driver will give you a ride back to your hotel in Gudauri to conclude the day trip.
