If you love Nature, Culture & History this tour to Mtskheta & Gori is for you. On this day trip from Tbilisi you will get to know the history of Georgia by visiting UNESCO World Heritage Sights in Mtskheta Svetitskhoveli Cathedral & Jvari Monastery, The Stalin Museum in Gori and the Cave city of Uplistsikhe.

You will explore this locations with our knowledgeable guides who will tell you all the interesting facts about past and present of Georgia. (Note: Tour can be also taken without a guide)

Our driver will meet you at your hotel and lead you to your car to begin the Mtskheta, Gori & Uplistsikhe tour.

Visit Mtskheta the former capital of Georgia, where you’ll find the famous Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, a true wonder of medieval architecture. It is believed that the robe of Jesus Christ is burried here.

Afterwards,  drive up to the Jvari monastery to see a 6th century church and an amazing view of the junction of Aragvi and Mtkvari Rivers.

Head out to Gori, where you’ll have a very special experience visiting the Stalin’s museum in it’s original soviet look. You can take a walk inside the personal train carriage of Joseph Stalin which he used to go to Tehran for the big three meeting.

Stop for a lunch with a local family to explore the local cuisine made from local products. The last stop for the day is the cave city of Uplistsikhe built somewhere in 4th century B.C!

Finally, We’ll head back to Tbilisi and our driver will drop you off at your hotel.
