Dashbashi canyon and Paravani Lake tour
Tour Overview
The Dashbashi Canyon Tour is a trip on a less beaten track. Dashbashi Canyon is is the closest Canyon to Tbilisi, and it is known for the jaw dropping 240 meter long GLASS BRIDGE! This is definitely not for everyone. This location has recently become popular because of the stunning views and a rare experience of walking the glass bridge.
Samtskhe Javakheti region is also known for pristine views, and is a great location to explore if you’re into photography. This location is also very popular for birdwatching at specific times of the year. Note – this is not a birdwatching trip.
Your driver will meet you at your hotel and lead you to your car to start the day trip.
After a scenic drive, we will visit the Dashbashi canyon and the glass bridge, with the stunning views of the surroundings. Optionally, you can also take part in extreme sport activities: e.g: bicycle ride over the canyon. Note – extreme sport activities are not included in the tour price.
After the bridge, you will hike down to the Canyon and see the beauty of Dashbashi Waterfalls up close.
From Dashbashi we will move to our next stop, Paravani Lake. Paravani Lake is one of the highest lakes in Georgia, located at 2073 meters from sea level. This is also the biggest lake in Georgia – often frequented by migrating birds (even flamingos!). Note – seeing the exotic birds during this trip is rare.
Finally, after soaking in the fresh air of Paravani, we will return back to Tbilisi.
Note: There are barely any stores or restaurants along the way, as we will be driving through remote areas – please pack some snacks and water for the trip.

We had booked couple of trips with Kartveli, with and without a guide. They additionally offered us this trip, which was not yet published on page. We had still free days in Georgia so decided to try this out, as the other tours were excellent. Our kids enjoyed the place a lot and we did too, it was a bit scary to go over the glass bridge, but the views are amazing, and the lake. We enjoyed this trip a lot!
