Taste of Georgia – Extended

At a convenient time for you, your driver will meet you at the airport with our easy to recognize logo sign. After which we’ll deliver you to your hotel safely and comfortably. If you’re arriving in Georgia via train, we can also pick you up from the train station.

Your guide will meet you at your hotel and lead you to your car to begin the Tbilisi, Mtskheta, Jvari Tour. On this day trip we’ll see the two capitals of Georgia – Tbilisi and Mtskheta. We’re going to start the day with visiting the main attractions in the Tbilisi Old Town including: Rike park, Peace bridge, Metekhi cathedral, Erekle II street, Abanotubani, Narikala and more. After all the walking we’ll stop in a well-known “Salobie” restaurant to enjoy authentic Georgian food. Next, we’ll head to the former capital of Georgia – Mtskheta, town that has existed here for many centuries BC! Stopping at the 6th century Jvari Monastery, we will hear about the amazing history of this church. Also, we will enjoy an amazing view of Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers from the birds-eye view. The final stop for the day will be Svetitskhoveli cathedral, an astonishing piece of medieval architecture. By many people, it is believed that the robe of the Christ is buried here. This church is a big attraction for both local and international travelers, thus it’s full of souvenir stands where you can enjoy souvenir shopping. Finally, We’ll head back to Tbilisi and our driver will drop you off at your hotel.

Your guide will meet you at your hotel and lead you to your car to begin the Kakheti wine tour. Our first stop will be in the roadside village Badiauri, where we’ll see how they bake the Georgian bread and try it with homemade cheese. Next up is Sighnaghi – the tuscany of Georgia where we’ll enjoy the amazing views of the Alazani valley. Afterwards we head to the Numisi family winery to try their wines and Chacha! For more wine magic, we head to the Kindzmarauli award winning winery, where we’ll look at the factory and taste some of the Delicious Georgian wines. Later, we’ll stop at a local family where we’ll also have a glass of a local vintage and a traditional lunch cooked especially for us! Our last stop of the day is Gremi, the 16th century citadel of a medieval city which till this day overlooks the area with true Georgian temper. Afterwards, we’ll return to Tbilisi driving through the breathtaking Gombori Pass. Finally, Our driver will drop you off at your hotel after the tour.

Your guide will meet you at your hotel and lead you to your car to begin the Kazbegi tour. We begin the day by visiting Zhinvali water reservoir. Zhinvali dam was built in 1980’s because Tbilisi was growing rapidly and needed a new water supply. As a result we have a beautiful lake, where we stop to enjoy the stunning views of the water and surrounding colorful forests. Afterwards, we’ll continue to explore the famous 17th century Ananuri Fortress, known for its haunting history. Attacked many times throughout the centuries, it still stands strong and attracts each and every guest. Then we’ll head up the breathtaking military highway of Georgia to Gudauri, where we’ll see the Friendship Monument. Here you’ll also have a chance to have an unforgettable experience of paragliding over the Caucasus mountains. Finally we’ll head to Stepantsminda also known as Kazbegi, here you’ll switch to a 4WD off-road car to go up to the stunning Gergeti monastery under the 5047 meter mountain of Kazbegi. Which was Built in 14th century. Gergeti used to be a secluded monastery. Ever since, there have been monks living here throughout the year, even through the freezing temperatures of -35 Celsius! Enjoy a home cooked dinner and try to make your own Khinkali during the cooking masterclass in the village of Gergeti. Finally, we’ll return to Tbilisi and our driver will leave you at your hotel.

Our guide will meet you at your hotel and lead you to your car to begin the One day Davit Gareja Tour. Our day will start by a direct drive to Davit Gareja (Gareji) complex located at the border of Georgia and Azerbaijan. Along the way, we’re going to pass through the remote village of Udabno and also make couple of stops for the stunning views. Once we reach the Davit Gareja, we will visit the currently functioning Lavra Monastery of Father Davit. Here you’re going to find about the history of the foundation and tough periods of this monastery throughout the centuries. Davit Gareja has been functioning here since 6th century! We’re also going to take a look at the grave of Father Davit and hear about his miraculous stone. After exploring the functioning part of the monastery, we’re going to hike over the ridge dividing Georgia and Azerbaijan to visit Bertubani. It was here, where the school of Georgia Fresco painting was begun. We’re going to take a look at amazing murals dating back as far as thousand years! Afterwards we descend back to the Georgian Territory and visit a local family for a tasty lunch. Note that it’s a late lunch, around 16:00. Packing snacks is recommended. Finally, We’ll head back to Tbilisi and our driver will drop you off at your hotel.
