Kazbegi Tour From Gudauri

Our guide will meet you at your hotel in Gudauri and lead you to your car to begin the Kazbegi tour from Gudauri.

On this day trip we’ll visit the beauties of the Kazbegi Region – Gudauri Friendship Panorama, Gergeti & Dariali Monasteries, also we’ll enjoy a Lunch in a Local Family and Learn How to Cook Khinkali – a Cooking Masterclass.

We will start our day by visiting the Friendship Panorama Monument close to Gudauri. Here you will hear about the history of the monument and enjoy the breathtaking views of the underlying gorge. Balcony is decorated with beautiful colorful mosaics – a must see place for your Instagram Feed ????

After the monument we’ll head to towards Stepantsminda also known as Kazbegi, where we will visit the famous – Gergeti’s Sameba – the Trinity of Gergeti monastery. You will found out how and why this monastery was built in such a remote location, as well as enjoy the serenity of the nature and the stunning landscape surrounding this monumental church.

Next, we’ll head down to the village of Gergeti where we’ll visit a local family for lunch. Here we’ll try the wonders of the local cuisine as well as some Chacha! During the lunch we’ll also hear how Khinkali is made in mountains and try to make it on our own.

Note: Khinkali is made not only out of meat – it can also be made with mushrooms, potatoes & cheese, so vegetarian & vegan options are available.

After the lunch, we’ll continue driving up north to our last stop of the day – Dariali Monastery – located very close to the Georgia-Russia border in the Dariali Gorge, this monastery is stunning with it’s architecture and surroundings.

Once we’re done with the Dariali Monastery, we will head back to Gudauri and we’ll drop you off at your hotel to conclude the Kazbegi tour from Gudauri.
