Georgia is known as the oldest wine-making country in the world with more than 8000 consecutive vintages. It’s thanks to this fact that Georgia has become one of the rising stars of the new wine world and attracts a lot of interest worldwide. With this Premium & Organic Wine Tour, you’ll get to know the best of Georgian Wines in Kakheti region.
We will start our day by stopping at a Tone Bakery – a traditional Georgian bakery where we will see how the Georgian bread is made. We’re also going have a taste of the bread with some local cheese.
Next we will continue to Signagi – the city of love, where we’ll enjoy a short walk around the city center after which we’ll visit the well-known Okro Wines. Okro Wines are organic wines produced by the Okruashvili family, which have quickly become the leading name in the Georgian organic wine scene. They specialize in high quality organic wines. We’ll enjoy the wine tasting with amazing views of the Alazani Valley from the Balcony of the winery.
After the Okro Wines, we head down towards Kvareli where we’ll be visiting the famous Khareba Wine Tunnel. Originally build for military purposes, this tunnel now houses a full scale winery. We’ll have a walk through the tunnels and taste 4 more premium wines produced here.
Khareba Winery also has a great restaurant where we can optionally enjoy lunch or quick snacks.
Once we’re done with the Khareba winery, we move on to visit the Chavchavadze Estate – a Palace of a Georgian Royal Family who first introduced the European Method of Wine Making to Georgians. We’ll have a look at the palace and the stunning garden surrounding it, after which we’ll try a glass of the local Tsinandali wine.
Next, we move to the Shumi Winery – another great Premium wine producer, here we’ll try two more types of wine and have a look at their collection vineyard, with hundreds of grape species!
Finally, after a long memorable day, we’ll head back to Tbilisi crossing the Gombori Mountains. Here we’ll also have an opportunity for a short but very beautiful photo stop at the top of the ridge. The Gombori Sunsets are Breathtaking.
We’ll return to Tbilisi Around 20:00 in the evening and your driver will drop you of at an address convenient for you in Tbilisi.

Our first stop will be in the roadside village Badiauri, where we’ll see how they bake the Georgian bread and try it with homemade cheese.

Sighnaghi – the tuscany of Georgia where we’ll enjoy the amazing views of the Alazani valley.

Here we’ll stop at a famous BIO winery – Okro Wines, where we’ll enjoy a stunning view of the Alazani valley with the best of their organic wines.

Khareba Winery is one of the most well-known premium wine producers in Georgia. They are famous with quality wine as well as the Tunnel – Originally built for military purposes, a cave goes couple hundred meters under the mountain where the wine storage and wine-tastings take place.

Chavchavadze family used to be one of the most noble royal families in Georgia. We will visit their summer residence in Tsinandali, where the first ever Georgian wines were produced with the European methods.

Shumi Winery is also one of the biggest names in the Georgian Premium wines. They produce a big variety of high quality alcohol drinks. We’ll have a tour around the factory as well as try best of their premium wines.

Afterwards, we’ll return to Tbilisi driving through the breathtaking Gombori Pass.
